Card Distribution Process
STARS organizes volunteer-driven letter and card-writing campaigns to support refugee students emotionally and socially.
Process:

Volunteers create handwritten or digital cards following provided guidelines

Cards are reviewed by STARS team members to ensure:

Appropriate language

Cultural sensitivity

Encouraging and supportive messaging

Approved cards are compiled and organized
-
Cards are delivered through partner organizations or direct distribution channels​​

- Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Columbia, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom
How Donations Are Used
All donations made to STARS are used to directly support refugee students and families, as well as sustain our programs.
Funds are allocated to:

School supplies (backpacks, notebooks, writing tools)

Basic necessities (food support, hygiene products)

Program materials (letter-writing campaigns, educational resources)

Operational costs (packaging, shipping, platform fees)
Allocation Structure:

A portion of funds is used for operational sustainability (e.g., shipping, materials)

The majority is directed toward direct aid for refugee communities
Accountability Measures:

All purchases and distributions are tracked internally

Donation usage summaries will be shared through reports and updates

Visual documentation (photos, receipts when appropriate) is collected for major initiatives
