Department Event

You Control the Story

October 9 - October 29

Every story begins somewhere—but where it goes next is completely up to you.

For this volunteer event, members of the STARS Art and Writing Departments will create an original story centered around themes of hope, belonging, change, community, or new beginnings. There is no predetermined ending or path. You decide what happens, who the characters become, what challenges they encounter, and where their story ultimately leads.

Purpose

Stories can help us understand experiences beyond our own. Through this event, volunteers will explore themes connected to STARS' mission while practicing creativity, perspective-taking, and storytelling.

The beginning is only the beginning. What happens next is yours to decide.
