STARS Donation Branch Program

Bring Meaningful Service to Your Community

The STARS Donation Branch Program allows volunteers to create local donation collection sites in their own communities. Branch Managers collect essential materials and supplies that can later be distributed to refugee-supporting organizations and families in need.

Whether your branch is hosted at a school, library, community center, place of worship, club, business, or home, every collection site helps make donating more accessible.

How to Donate?

Donating to a STARS Donation Branch is quick and easy!

Step 1: Find a Donation Branch

Browse our list of active Donation Branches to find the location closest to you.

Each branch page will include:

Collection location
Collection dates
Accepted donation items
Drop-off hours (if applicable)
Branch Manager contact information

Step 2: Check the Donation List

Before donating, review the branch's list of accepted items. Donation needs may vary depending on the refugee organization being supported.

Examples of accepted donations may include:

School supplies
Hygiene products
New or gently used clothing
Household essentials
Children's books and toys
Baby supplies
Non-perishable food (if accepted by the branch)

Step 3: Drop Off Your Donations

Bring your donations to the collection site during the listed collection period.

Please ensure all donated items are:

Clean
Safe to use
In good condition
Within the branch's accepted donation guidelines

Make sure to take a picture of your donations before donating if you want credit!

Step 4: Receive Volunteer Credit (Optional)

If you'd like to earn volunteer hours for your donation, take a picture of your items and upload them to the 'Donation Hours' Form along with info.

Most branches follow the guideline: 5 approved donated items = 1 volunteer hour

Volunteer hours are awarded after donations have been verified by the Branch Manager.
