Current Assignment: Refugee Education
Education is one of the most powerful tools for helping refugee children rebuild their lives after displacement. Beyond academics, schools provide stability, routine, social connection, and opportunities for children to develop the knowledge and skills needed for a successful future. However, millions of refugee children around the world continue to face significant barriers that prevent them from accessing quality education.
Through this research project, STARS aims to better understand the educational experiences of refugee students, identify the challenges they encounter, and explore solutions that support equitable access to learning. By sharing accurate information and evidence-based research, we hope to raise awareness and encourage communities to support educational opportunities for displaced children.

Why It Matters
Education helps refugee children regain a sense of normalcy while providing opportunities for future independence and success. When students receive the support they need, they are more likely to thrive academically, contribute to their communities, and build meaningful futures.
Understanding the educational experiences of refugee students also helps schools, educators, policymakers, and community organizations develop programs that better meet their needs.
