Our Mission

Standing Together Assisting Refugee Students (STARS) is an organization dedicated to supporting refugee children in the Houston area as well as internationally as they adjust to life in a new country, culture, and educational system. STARS aims to provide both academic and social support through mentorship, tutoring, events, drives and volunteer partnerships with other refugee organizations. By fostering personal connections and offering practical assistance, the club seeks to help refugee youth while building empathy, awareness, and a sense of responsibility among those who seek to create a more welcoming world.
