How To Become A Member

2. Scroll through the different departments to see which ones interest you.
3. Sign up to be a member through our Application Link. You will receive a confirmation email approving your membership.
After becoming a member
1. Open up the Specific Department Page depending on what department you signed up for.
2. Each page will list a biweekly updated event. All work/service must be done according to this event (including maximum amounts).

Our Mission
Standing Together Assisting Refugee Students (STARS) is an organization dedicated to supporting refugee children in the local Houston area as well as internationally as they adjust to life in a new country, culture, and educational system. STARS aims to provide both academic and social support through mentorship, tutoring, events, drives and volunteer partnerships with other refugee organizations. By fostering personal connections and offering practical assistance, the club seeks to help refugee youth while building empathy, awareness, and a sense of responsibility among high school students.
